Verified liveness (verify_live.py, 2026-10-02): we fetch each listing's OWN dealer page (0 Marketcheck/Auto.dev/classic.com calls) and classify it ✅ verified live (VIN or price text found on page), ❌ SOLD (page says sold / no-longer-available), ⚰️ gone (404, dead redirect, tiny stub, or the SAME generic page served for multiple different VINs at one dealer -- proof the per-VIN page no longer exists), ❓ unverified (blocked) (dealer site 403/429/Cloudflare-walled us -- genuinely UNKNOWN, never treated as live or sold), or — not yet checked. Priced low/med/high stats above are computed ONLY on rows that are verified-live OR not-yet-conclusively-checked (BLOCKED/unchecked) -- any row verify_live confirms SOLD or GONE is excluded from those three numbers so a sold car can never set the board's price floor or pull the median; the "was $X" sub-value is the OLD stat including those rows, shown so the delta is visible. Caveat: this is a TEXT/HTTP check -- a few dealer sites (e.g. Papin Garage) stamp "SOLD" as a red banner baked into the vehicle PHOTO itself with no matching page text, which a text scraper cannot see; those rows will show unverified/blocked or even live-by-text despite being actually sold, so a verify_live ✅/❓ is not an absolute guarantee -- cross-check manual_status.json and Kyle's direct knowledge still win.

Priced board = real asking prices, sorted low→high. POA / Call-for-Price quarantined below — these read $0 in the feed and are the most likely to be stale/sold. DoS (dealer) = days listed at the CURRENT dealer (Marketcheck's `dos_active`), hover for lifetime `dom`/`dom_active` — MarketCheck confirms `dom` never resets across relists/dealer transfers, so it overstates real time-on-lot; `dos_active` is the field that actually matches "how long has this dealer had it." 🔎 Nd tracked (proxy) (italic blue) = NO real dealer DoM/DoS data exists for this listing (currently: any Auto.dev-sourced board, our free/backup source, which has no DoM equivalent at all) — this is a homegrown fallback: days since OUR OWN scanner first observed this VIN, a FLOOR not the true time-on-lot (the car may have been listed long before we first saw it). Title: "clean"=Carfax-confirmed, "unconf"=no Carfax attached (NOT branded). ⚑ N× dealer=that dealer holds N of these (possible market-maker). ⚠ Nd stale=not re-crawled in N days. 🔁 flipped / 📈 hiked=this VIN's ask price jumped vs. a prior listing stint (dealer-to-dealer flip or same-dealer repricing) — negotiate off the pre-hike price, not today's ask. 📉 price drop=this VIN's current ask sits below its historical peak ask (green=still actively cutting, gold=dropped then went flat) — motivated-seller signal, open low. ☠️ DEAD LISTING / 🛑 SOLD / 🟢 VDP live / ❓ unverified = we fetched the DEALER’S OWN listing page and read what it actually says (dead_check.py — 0 Marketcheck calls, it hits dealer sites not the API). ☠️ = the page 404s or redirects to the dealer’s homepage/inventory (listing pulled); 🛑 = the page itself says this car is sold; 🟢 = page loads clean and still shows the car; ❓ = the dealer’s site blocked our check — that is NOT evidence either way, treat it as unknown. Hover any of these for the exact reason + date checked. These flags never remove a car from the board — only mark_status.py does that, by hand. Verify VIN before buying.
